Thunder On The Mountain

Thunder on the Mountain has long been one of Alabama’s largest Independence Day celebrations. The decades-long tradition will light up the sky over Vulcan beginning at 9PM. The fireworks display will last 20 minutes and feature a choreographed musical soundtrack of classic patriotic favorites and new music.

Shoals Spirit of Freedom Celebration

Celebrate Independence Day in Florence at the Shoals Spirit of Freedom Celebration! Enjoy live music from locally and nationally-known musicians all day, food from vendors on site, and activities for the entire family.  Cap off your Independence Day celebration with one of the largest fireworks shows in the Southeast.

U.S. Space & Rocket Center

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center will once again host the city’s largest fireworks display, beginning at 9PM. Head to the center 9AM-5PM to enjoy special, family-friendly patriotic activities during regular museum hours. Special events include performances by Redstone Arsenal’s Army Materiel Command Band as well as special activities to celebrate America’s return to Jupiter.  NASA’s Juno spacecraft begins its Jupiter Orbital Insertion maneuver in preparation to capture incredible images of Milky Way’s Gas Giant for the first time in 16 years.

USS Alabama

Celebrate Independence Day at Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile with a night of patriotic music, picnicking and fireworks beginning at 5PM. Enjoy live music by the Mobile Symphonic Pops Band, concessions on-site from The Galley, and fireworks beginning at 9PM.
