The most patriotic time of the year is upon us. Whether you have travel plans or a staycation this holiday, make time to check out one of Alabama’s many great fireworks shows. For those of you who are looking for a sneak-peak fireworks preview or want to celebrate all weekend long, Oak Mountain State Park has you covered. This July 3rd, the Park has prepared an evening of music, food, water sports, beer, and fireworks over Double Oaks Lake.

Activities will begin around 6PM, and an entrance fee of just $5 per carload gets you in! Enjoy food from McAlister’s Deli, Dreamland BBQ, popsicles from Frios and more. And don’t forget, the 32nd Annual Rick Melanson Peavine Falls Run will take place at 7AM on July 4th.

Huntsville’s U.S. Space & Rocket Center will be hosting the city’s largest fireworks display. Arrive as early as 6PM and join in the many planned activities for the evening. There will be a Kid’s Zone with activities ranging from building paper rockets, to a moon bounce, face painting and even chalk art as well as activities at Rocket Park.

The USSRC mascots TOPPS and RamJet will be on-site for photos, and the Army Materiel Command Big Bang Brass Band will provide live entertainment from 6-9PM. No outside food or beverages are allowed, but there are plenty of classic American meals available for purchase. Each vehicle parking pass is only $20 so you can bring the whole family in for fun and fireworks, but keep in mind you’ll need to purchase your pass in advance.

With these two prime viewing locations nestled side by side on the scenic Alabama River, you’re sure to enjoy this year’s Fourth of July MAX Fireworks Spectacular. Head inside of the Riverwalk Stadium to catch the hometown favorite Montgomery Biscuits baseball team as they take on the Biloxi Shuckers starting at 6:35PM, or walk over to the Riverfront Amphitheater to indulge in music from the Sweet Young ‘Uns.

These two events will come to a close with the MAX Fireworks Spectacular debuting immediately after the baseball game. You’ll be celebrating properly with either one of these two exciting events located in downtown Montgomery.

Celebrate the 4th of July with the historic USS Alabama. There will be live music, food trucks and an amazing fireworks display beginning at 9PM. Gates open at 4PM and admission is $5 per carload.

Head to Florence for a massive 4th of July party taking place right on the banks of the Tennessee River. More than a fireworks display, the full day of live music, food and fireworks has something for the whole family.

Music begins at 1PM with a new band playing every hour until 9PM when the fireworks begin. You won’t want to miss the largest fireworks display in North Alabama!

Birmingham’s Thunder on the Mountain has consistently remained one of the state’s largest and most viewed fireworks displays. The free show will begin at 9PM to a soundtrack that embodies classic American patriotism mixed with some popular music. The event is free to the public, lasts about 20 minutes, and will go on—rain or shine!
