ALABAMA OUTDOORS OPENS SUMMER POP UP AT PEPPER PLACE

Alabama Outdoors Celebrated its Opening This Weekend

BIRMINGHAM, AL ‐ Beginning Saturday, May 14th, Alabama Outdoors will provide downtown
Birmingham with its first outdoor gear retail store in more than ten years. They will operate a
summer pop up on Saturdays from 7am – 2pm in the Showrooms building at Pepper Place across
from Cantley & Company. The store will feature both popular and specialty brands such as
Birkenstock, Patagonia, Yeti, Locally Grown, Bote, Arbor Skateboards, their own Alabama
Outdoors brand and more.

Pepper Place is located along the Jones Valley Corridor, the downtown spine of the Red Rock
Ridge & Valley Trail System. Cathy Sloss Jones, President of Sloss Real Estate Company and
developer of the Pepper Place District, is an avid believer in the importance of complete streets,
walkable neighborhoods and sustainable development. “Pepper Place is at the heart of this
expanding green space that is connecting our urban neighborhoods. It is wonderful watching the
business community, residents and farmers market patrons coming to Pepper Place on foot and

Alabama Outdoors opened for business in Birmingham, Alabama in 1975 with the mission to
provide the highest quality outdoor gear to residents in the surrounding area. Other Birmingham
